Opportunities for Clinicians

We are hiring:

Part-time or Full-Time Occupational Therapist

The Real Work has an Opening for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to Join Our Collective

Build the OT Career You Wish Existed

Most occupational therapists enter this field because they care deeply about children, families, development, and helping kids thrive, but find themselves buried in productivity expectations, rigid treatment models, endless paperwork, and schedules that leave little room for creativity, curiosity, or connection.

The Real Work was built to be different. We are a multidisciplinary collective of therapists, occupational therapists, and child-development specialists who believe children grow through relationships, play, safety, sensory experiences, and meaningful connection.

Our work is grounded in attachment, interpersonal neurobiology, sensory processing, developmental science, and neurodiversity-affirming care.

More importantly, we believe clinicians do their best work when they feel trusted, supported, respected, and connected.

We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who not only wants a well-paid position, but also wants to build a meaningful career alongside a team of thoughtful professionals who genuinely enjoy learning from one another.

Who Thrives Here?

You might be a great fit if you:

• See behavior through a developmental and nervous-system lens
• Value relationships as much as intervention strategies
• Enjoy collaborating with families rather than directing them
• Believe neurodivergent children deserve support without pressure to mask or become someone they're not
• Love learning and growing professionally
• Appreciate autonomy while still wanting connection and community
• Want the freedom to shape your own clinical interests and specialties

Depending on your interests, you will have the opportunity to design your own niche in the field. Opportunities can include:

• Individual occupational therapy
• Parent coaching and consultation
• School consultation
• Interdisciplinary collaboration
• Social groups
• Sensory-based groups
• Feeding support
• Nature-based programming
• Workshops and community education
• Development of specialty programs

We encourage our clinicians to bring their passions to the work and help create services that don't already exist.

Why Clinicians Stay

Our goal is to build a career and a caseload that feels sustainable to you. Burnout prevention is key.

At The Real Work you'll find:

• A collaborative, non-competitive culture
• Consultation with experienced child specialists
• Freedom to shape your schedule
• Opportunities to create groups and specialty programs

The intention of The Real Work is to challenge the traditional group practice model which often underpays clinicians and requires a number of clinical hours that is not sustainable. This contributes to burnout and resentment, impacting the community and the clients we want to serve. The intention of the Collective is to bring together a core group of individual and child specialists who can work together without the stress of a traditional agency hierarchy or the loneliness of Private Practice—thus making you a more connected and relaxed clinician!
