Sundays 10 AM to 1130.
October 4 to December 13.
Meets at the Multnomah arts center, which is located near Hillsdale.
The final performance will be on December 13, 11am- 12 pm
Every child gets a role, unless, of course, they’d rather not, in which case that choice is celebrated too. This is a program where every child’s unique strengths are seen, celebrated, and woven into the ensemble. That might look like helping with costumes or sets, or cheering their friends on from the front row.
Brave Spark is intentionally affirming of all neurotypes. Material is presented in multiple ways, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, so every child has the chance to learn in whatever way works best for them. Breaks, snacks, sensory tools, and accommodations aren’t just allowed here, they’re welcomed and celebrated.
What Makes Brave Spark Drama Club Different
Yes, this is a drama group. Yes, we are putting on a play. But it’s so much more than that.
Brave Spark adapts the script to meet children exactly where they are. We are not here to catapult anyone out of their comfort zone, but rather to empower them, from a place of autonomy, to decide for themselves what they’re ready for and what they’re not.
The cast is intentionally small. While most drama programs run with 30 or 40 kids, Brave Spark keeps it to around 10 students with two teachers, so every child gets real, specialized attention. That kind of ratio means kids can dive deeply into the material, take real creative risks, and genuinely grow, not just keep pace in a crowd.
There is no space for forcing a kid to fit anyone’s mold. At Brave Spark, we work together as a team to create our own mold, crafting ourselves into whoever we want to be, using self-expression to make art, tell a story, and connect with our community.
