Let’s Connect
Collin Alteneder, MA, MFT-A, is dedicated to fostering healing and growth within families through a compassionate and collaborative approach. His primary focus is on Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), a modality that emphasizes the pivotal role of the parent-child relationship in navigating and overcoming challenges. In CPRT, families are encouraged to participate in sessions together, exploring family dynamics, histories, and experiences to foster understanding and adaptation.
Collin's therapeutic approach involves equipping families with essential skills and tools such as emotional regulation, non-violent communication, choice giving, limit setting, and positive reinforcement. Through these techniques, he aims to strengthen attachment bonds, build strong connections between parents and children, and improve relationships with siblings, peers, and extended family members.
In addition to his expertise in CPRT, Collin has experience in Child Centered Play Therapy and Adlerian Play Therapy. He has also received specialized training in Emotion Focused Couples Counseling, Imago Listening Couples Counseling, and ASSIST Suicide Prevention. These diverse trainings allow him to offer a comprehensive and adaptable approach to therapy, tailored to the unique needs of each family and individual.
“Every family has the potential for positive change and resilience when provided with the right support and tools.”
