The Real Work is proud to present Groovin Girls, our social group for female-identified kids led on by Mikelia Wallace, MT-BC from Neurovibes Music Therapy.

This is a social group in which we work on:
Learning how to comfortably engage with peers
Teamwork, turn-taking, and sharing
Self-expression and advocacy
Learning and respecting personal boundaries
AND HAVING FUN

Who: girls 7-11 years old—all female-identifying kids are welcome, with a special emphasis on those who are neurodivergent are questioning whether they might be*.
What: Led by a music therapist, the group has an opportunity to connect with each other through drumming, recreating favorite songs on instruments, singing, and songwriting.
This is a social group in which we work on:

Learning and respecting personal boundaries
AND HAVING FUN
This group also includes opportunities for non-verbal and musical conversations through improvisational instrument playing. This group is meant to be a safe space to explore sounds and musical ideas and is highly collaborative.
Cost: $420 per child for the entire series and must be paid in full before the first session.
Participants are committing to attend for the full term; this allows for the group to build rapport.
